ch]C[/ch] [ch]C7[/ch] [ch]F[/ch
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
ch]C[/ch] [ch]Am[/ch] [ch]Dm[/ch] [ch]G[/ch
That calls me from a world of care,
ch]C[/ch] [ch]C7[/ch] [ch]F[/ch
And bids me at my Father’s throne
ch]C[/ch] [ch]Am[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]G7[/ch] [ch]C[/ch] [ch]F[/ch
Make all my wants and wishes known.

In seasons of distress and grief,
ch]C[/ch] [ch]F[/ch] [ch]Em[/ch] [ch]Dm[/ch] [ch]Dm7[/ch
My soul has often found relief
ch]G[/ch] [ch]C[/ch] [ch]C7[/ch] [ch]F[/ch] [ch]F7[/ch
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare
ch]C[/ch] [ch]Am[/ch] [ch]C[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]C[/ch] [ch]G#[/ch] [ch]C#[/ch] [ch]D#m7[/ch
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

In Him whose true and faithfulness
ch]G#7[/ch] [ch]C#[/ch] [ch]Bbm[/ch] [ch]Bbm7[/ch] [ch]G#[/ch] [ch]C#[/ch] [ch]G#[/ch] [ch]G#7[/ch
In haste awaiting the waiting soul to bless

Believe His Word and trust His grace,

I’ll cast on Him my every care,
ch]C#[/ch] [ch]Bbm[/ch] [ch]Bbm7[/ch] [ch]G#[/ch] [ch]C#[/ch
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
