Intro
Verse 1→ Phiên khúc
ch]E[/ch
Well, there was a time on earth when in the books of heaven
ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]F#7[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch
An old account was standing for sins yet unforgiven
ch]E[/ch] [ch]E7[/ch
My name was at the top and many things below
ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
But I went unto the keeper and settled it long ago
ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
Long ago (down on my knees), long ago (I settled it all)
ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch
Yes, the old account was settled long ago (hallelujah)
ch]E[/ch] [ch]E7[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
And the record's clear today 'cause He washed my sins away
ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
And the old account was settled long ago
Verse 2→ Phiên khúc
ch]E[/ch
Well, the old account was large and growing every day
ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]F#7[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch
And I was always sinning and I never tried to pray
ch]E[/ch] [ch]E7[/ch
But when I looked ahead and saw such pain and woe
ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
Well, I went unto the keeper and settled it long ago
ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
Long ago (down on my knees), long ago (I settled it all)
ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch
Yes, the old account was settled long ago (hallelujah)
ch]E[/ch] [ch]E7[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
And the record's clear today 'cause He washed my sins away
ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
And the old account was settled long ago
Verse 3→ Phiên khúc
ch]E[/ch
Now, sinner, seek the Lord, repent of all your sins
ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]F#7[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch
'cause this He has commanded if you would enter in
ch]E[/ch] [ch]E7[/ch
And then, if you should live a hundred years below
ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
Well, you know you got it settled 'cause you settled it long ago
ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
Long ago (down on my knees), long ago (I settled it all)
ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch
Yes, the old account was settled long ago (hallelujah)
ch]E[/ch] [ch]E7[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
And the record's clear today 'cause He washed my sins away
ch]E[/ch] [ch]B7[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
And the old account was settled long ago
ch]A[/ch] [ch]E[/ch
(Long ago)
