KT Tunstall - Uummannaq song
----------------------------
I couldn't find a tab or chords for this incredible song of KT's new album,
so I decided to make one myself, with a little help from the KT Tunstall forum (thanks
to 'smash275').
For this song KT uses a 2-string guitar on which she actually just hits one note each
time (the bass note of course).
In the verse she hits each note and mutes it right after that.
This tab below is an indication of the tune she's playing.
I think the B D E part is quite accurate, but I'm not sure about the B A G A and A A parts.
If anyone's got suggestions please comment.
In the verse and bridge she strums each note.
I prefer to just strum the entire song (on acoustic guitar) in the chords given below,
but since not everyone might agree I put this little tab together.
Hope you'll like it.
Enjoy!

Verse 1→ Phiên khúc
ch]Bm[/ch
Hold your fire
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
I'm coming out and I'll tell you the truth
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
I was trying to raise my roof
ch]A[/ch
Did you see it
ch]G[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
That I needed to prove
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
That my stinger always stays
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
You said she's beautiful when she plays
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]A[/ch
Did I hit you in the proper place
ch]A[/ch
Suddenly
ch]G[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
I, oh well I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Five cold years before I
ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
Yes I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Before I head for home
(2x)
Verse 2→ Phiên khúc
ch]Bm[/ch
It's my turn
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
With the spotlight burning a hole
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
But my bird-heart's turning cold
ch]A[/ch] [ch]G[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
As the temperature rises all around
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
To the sound of a ticking bomb
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]Bm[/ch
And then it's not just showing off here
ch]D[/ch] [ch]E[/ch] [ch]A[/ch
You know there's something going on here
ch]A[/ch
Going on here
Suddenly
ch]G[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
I, oh well I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Five cold years before I
ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
Yes I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Five cold years
ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
Yes I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Five cold years before I
ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
Well I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Before I head for home
(mute)
And considered it odd
ch]Bm[/ch
That I ever stayed
ch]A[/ch
ever stayed
ch]Bm[/ch
That I ever stayed
ch]A[/ch
ever stayed
ch]Bm[/ch
That I ever stayed
ch]A[/ch
ever stayed
ch]Bm[/ch
That I ever stayed
ch]A[/ch
ever stayed
ch]Bm[/ch
You know that feeling you get
ch]E[/ch] [ch]D[/ch
when you don't want to leave
ch]Bm[/ch
That feeling you get
ch]E[/ch] [ch]D[/ch
when you don't want to leave
ch]Bm[/ch
That feeling when you don't want to leave
ch]Bm[/ch
Suddenly
ch]G[/ch] [ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
I, oh well I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Five cold years before I
ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
Yes I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Five cold years
ch]A[/ch] [ch]F#m[/ch
Yes I could live in this town
ch]G[/ch
Five cold years before I
